Risky Faith - God's Love and Justice

This past Sunday evening, I (Pastor Bob) decided to watch Sunday Night Football, which is something I don’t do that often. I decided to watch the game because the Kansas City Chiefs were playing. They are my second favorite team next to the Bad News Bears. About halfway through the game, Al Michaels commented on another senseless shooting in our nation and then asked, “What’s gone wrong with our world?” It is a great question that demands an answer. Fortunately, the Bible gives us the answer plus the solution. We find both in today’s passage. I encourage you to read all of Genesis 18 in preparation for today’s sermon. In it, we find both God’s love and His justice. It is impossible to have one without the other.
